Purlisse Matcha Green Tea Antioxidant Priming Moisturizer Review

You have no clue how much I like matcha, so when I received this product from IPSY—knowing that they already utilize matcha in skincare—I was pleasantly delighted. I began looking for it because I wanted to know how it would help my skin because I didn’t know what it could do.

In this product, Purlisse Matcha Green Tea Antioxidant Priming Moisturizer, according to its manufacturer, this lightweight, oil-free hydrator quenches thirsty skin while shielding against environmental damage. It has an antioxidant-rich matcha green tea that protects the skin, while white tea and vitamin E help soothe and nourish it.

Matcha’s various antioxidants and advantageous plant ingredients make it an excellent natural substitute all around, claims Healthline. Matcha has a vivid green color because it has a lot of chlorophyll. It’s interesting to note that chlorophyll can shield our skin from UV rays and slow down photoaging, resulting in less wrinkles and age spots. Additionally, chlorophyll shields our skin from environmental pollutants and substances that might clog our pores.

Water (Aqua), Isopropyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Propanediol Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Diethylhexyl Malate, Tridecyl Stearate, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Powder, Tocopherol, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Powder, Aphanizomenon Flos-aquae Extract, Dimethicone Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glyco Boron Nitride, Sodium Poluacrulate, Tridecyl Trimellitate Ethylhexylglycerin, Tetrasodium Edta, Fragrance (Parfum)

I’ve never applied a primer before. My friends informed me that this moisturizer is completely different from others because it just serves to prepare the skin for the application of makeup or foundation. I’m worried that using moisturizer first would be too heavy for my skin, but they stated I should still apply moisturizer, then primer, and finally makeup. I gave it a try, and I’m really happy with the outcome.

Because I have oily skin, this product is ideal for me. The scent is quite calming, and it leaves my skin feeling extremely smooth and nourished. My skin has been breaking out recently, so I was hesitant to use this product at first, but it is very soothing and creamy, and it absorbs effortlessly into my skin without causing any breakouts.

As you can see, the cream is lightweight and even though I put a lot on my skin, it absorbs effortlessly. It also provided a dewy impact on the skin. I used this before applying my face powder, and all I can say is that the powder blended wonderfully and lasted on my skin longer. I had the impression that it actually adhered to my skin because the powder did not migrate over my mask, as it had before when I had not used this primer. It has a great moisture balance as well as the benefits of blurred pores.

I believe this stuff costs $45 but is certainly worth a try. I will absolutely buy it again in the future. I was quite fortunate to receive it in my IPSY subscription box, and it was just great. I strongly suggest it to everyone who wants to try a primer but has oily skin like myself. You will undoubtedly like and value this product.☺️
