My Top 5 Anticipated Young Adult Novels That Will Be Released This 2021

Reading is not only my hobby, it is also my passion. I see to it that I read books a lot and search more books for my next read. Though thriller novels are really my favorites, exploring different genre can also be exciting.

I have seen a lot of novels under Young Adult Genre that will be released this year from Goodreads and these are the novels that really caught my attention:

1. Lore by Alexandra Bracken

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Every seven years, the Agon begins. As punishment for a past rebellion, nine Greek gods are forced to walk the earth as mortals, hunted by the descendants of ancient bloodlines, all eager to kill a god and seize their divine power and immortality.
Long ago, Lore Perseous fled that brutal world in the wake of her family’s sadistic murder by a rival line, turning her back on the hunt’s promises of eternal glory. For years she’s pushed away any thought of revenge against the man–now a god–responsible for their deaths.

Yet as the next hunt dawns over New York City, two participants seek out her help: Castor, a childhood friend of Lore believed long dead, and a gravely wounded Athena, among the last of the original gods.

The goddess offers an alliance against their mutual enemy and, at last, a way for Lore to leave the Agon behind forever. But Lore’s decision to bind her fate to Athena’s and rejoin the hunt will come at a deadly cost–and still may not be enough to stop the rise of a new god with the power to bring humanity to its knees.

Reaction:

I am really fond of reading about Greek Mythologies and after reading the synopsis of this book, I’ve got hooked and immediately added this one to my next novel to read. I think it is more on survival of the remaining Greek Gods. I also want to add the stunning book cover, it will really attract the readers out there. This novel has been published since January 5 under Disney-Hyperion. Can’t wait to add this one on my shelf.

2. Namesake by Adrienne Young

Synopsis from Goodreads:

With the Marigold ship free of her father, Fable and its crew were set to start over. That freedom is short-lived when she becomes a pawn in a notorious thug’s scheme. In order to get to her intended destination she must help him to secure a partnership with Holland, a powerful gem trader who is more than she seems.

As Fable descends deeper into a world of betrayal and deception she learns that her mother was keeping secrets, and those secrets are now putting the people Fable cares about in danger. If Fable is going to save them then she must risk everything, including the boy she loves and the home she has finally found.

Reaction:

This novel is a sequel of the Fable, so we need to read it first before reading this one so that we can understand the flow of the story. Actually, I still did not read the prequel but I already added it on my cart in Amazon before but until now I did not check it out but I am so excited to read the duology because I heard and read a lot of good reviews and I am so excited to add this one on my shelf. The book cover is so beautiful, I can truly see how beautiful and a fighter Fable is.

The expected publication of this book is on March 16th under Wednesday Books.

Reaction:

Ok.. this one seems like the story of Peter Pan with a twist? I’m so excited to read this and get back to my childhood days. I remembered, when I was a kid I can’t understand the story of Peter Pan. I can’t wait to add it on my lists. the expected publication of this novel will be on March 23rd by Swoon Reads.

Reaction:

Everyone knows Leigh Bardugo and with this novel from her series, she will prove to the readers that she is really a good author. I think this is her promising novel making all the readers excited by its release. Maybe soon it will be a television series. Anyway, when I saw the name of the author of this novel, I immediately added it on my to-read lists. The release date of this novel will be on March 30 and I can’t wait to read it.

Gods and Monsters by Shelby Mahurin

Synopsis from Goodreads:

Evil always seeks a foothold. We must not give it one.

After a heartbreaking loss, Lou, Reid, Beau, and Coco are bent on vengeance more than ever before—and none more so than Lou.

But this is no longer the Lou they thought they knew. No longer the Lou that captured a chasseur’s heart. A darkness has settled over her, and this time it will take more than love to drive it out.

Reaction:

This is the 3rd part of Shelby’s Trilogy novel. I really am excited to read this book though the cover is not yet final, I was attracted on how they presented it in Goodreads. I will definitey buy and read this novel. I am curious on how the story will go but definitely sure that I will enjoy it. The expected publication of this novel will be on August 3rd by HarperTeen.

These are my top 5 anticipated young adult novel based on what I’ve seen in Goodreads. Though I would like to read all the novels that will be released this year, this five will be my top priority when it come to YA novel. 😊
